My friend George passed this link on to me last night. The development going on in Dubai is a bit nuts! This site shows what it looked like in 1990, 2003, 2006, 2007, and predicts what it will look like in the future. What you're seeing in this photo is the Palm Islands. They are man made and can be seen from space. The are also working on creating the World Islands, which will be 300 artificially created islands in the shape of the world. Each island will have an estimated cost of $25-30 million.
Is this for real?
